Kieran Power joins the LFA Board

The Foundation begins 2024 with the appointment of a new Director whose professional background and experience extends the Board’s diversity and capacity.

We are delighted to announce that Kieran Power has joined the LFA Board as a Non-Executive Director. As an environmental scientist and social scientist based in Melbourne, Kieran brings further diversity and capacity to the LFA Board.

He has outstanding strategic communications skills and extensive collaboration experience with cross-sectoral stakeholders and NGOs on climate- and nature-related projects. This experience ranges from working with vulnerable communities on climate adaptation pathways, to developing urban resilience strategies with cities across three continents, and making the business case for investing in nature in collaboration with WWF Australia.

Kieran’s technical knowledge and networks are underpinned by strong commercial skills gained from 14 years of experience managing project teams in major international consultancies. His professional career includes Director of Sustainability and Climate Change at Deloitte Risk Advisory, as well as work with WSP Australia and AECOM in the UK.

Kieran has BSc degrees from RMIT University focusing on environmental science and policy. He was also a member of the first cohort of the MSc in Social Business and Entrepreneurship at the London School of Economics and Political Sciences, which is an MBA alternative for those working in pro-social and environmental fields.

Welcome, Kieran!

“As a city boy with a love for birdwatching and experience working as a field ecologist in a past life, LFA’s mission to foster human-nature interactions in Australia’s urban landscapes speaks powerfully to me.” — Kieran Power
