Introducing LFA’s First Ambassador: Crosbie Lorimer

We are delighted to introduce Crosbie Lorimer as LFA’s first Ambassador. As an enthusiastic advocate for the Foundation, Crosbie will work closely with the LFA Board to help raise its profile and impact.

Crosbie is a long-time colleague, well-known to a broad professional network that includes many LFA supporters. With 26 years of professional experience in Australia with CLOUSTON, he has led multidisciplinary teams for the planning and design of key public domain landscapes, such as Hyde Park and Centennial Parklands in Sydney, as well as strategic open space and recreation planning of major urban green infrastructure systems for numerous councils and state agencies around the country.

Crosbie’s professional expertise aligns with the purpose of the Foundation and he will add a strong voice in promoting our shared values. With experience in stakeholder engagement extending over four decades, he brings to the Foundation a well-honed capacity to communicate LFA’s messages with commitment and zeal, help tell the stories of our programs and projects through video interviews, and encourage others to become supporters.

In addition to a notable professional career, Crosbie is a keen sailor who has combined his love of sailing with his talents for photojournalism. He has also been a dedicated volunteer speaker on behalf of BeyondBlue for over 10 years, presenting to a broad range of audiences.

Now in our fourth year of operation, LFA has introduced this program of Ambassadors to help expand the awareness, influence, and effectiveness of the Foundation. Over the next few years, Crosbie will be joined by other LFA Ambassadors who will also represent a wide cross-section of professions, industries, and academic disciplines.

As public advocates for the Foundation, our Ambassadors will build new connections with individuals and organisations to lay the groundwork for broader engagement with and support for LFA. They will bring the power of real-life stories that resonate effectively with potential supporters. Their professional and life experiences will provide a strong voice for our shared commitment to create high-quality public open space and urban landscapes that make a major contribution to the health and well-being of people and nature in Australian towns and cities.

Welcome, Crosbie! We’re excited to be working with you in this new role!
